Decisions Decsions

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers."
-Amelia Earhart

I WILL have some cool news soon but until then I'm going back to chewing my finger nails.

Tagged

Lindsay tagged me so...

Joys:
1) Scott’s jokes (This morning he jokingly said something about me being green cranola oil or something) I guess it’s just funny to me.
2) Music. I like classical, Alicia Keys, The Young & The Hopeless, Weezer, and Scott on the piano
3) Perfection. It’s rare but when I do or make something that is perfect it is like surreal to me.

Fears:
1) My office after closing hours. The lights are out and there’s not a sound but that’s because accountants are crazy quiet when they want to be.
2) Blood clots, One minute you’re fine the next your just gone
3) Stairs, I always think there is someone behind me and they’ll grab my leg

Current Obsessions/Collections:
1) Reading
2) The scrabble game at Subway (I just need one letter on all of the words to win stuff)
3) Soccer as always since I started playing in my ward

Surprising Facts:
1) I have hiked Mt. Timpanogas over 13 times
2) I have an amazing singing voice when no one is around
3) I used to work with Will Ferell’s cousin at Macey’s and went to Jr. High with Demi Moore’s cousin

I tag Amanda! (No quitsies, no startsies, no roshamboe and if there is I start!)

Foolash

This is my famous foolash and I'm going to share the secret ingredients with you all. Anything. Anything you've got can go into foolash. This is a mutation of my mom's goolash that I started when I was first living on my own and spending $35.00 per semester on groceries. (It can be done, I worked at a grocery store and had the advantage of free food dating). If you are down to the bare minimum in your pantry and for whatever reason you can't go to the store, this is a fun, and I'll admit, risky alternative. You just grab whatever is left and put it in a pot or pyrex dish and cook it until it is soft. A friend at work gave me some tomatoes but everything else was the canned or water proof stuff that survived the flooding. (The roof leaked above our pantry too.) I was giggling like mad as I had one genius thought after another to add cream of mushroom (watered down), curly noodles, the juice of some generic chicken noodle soup, chicken, lots of spices (I don't know which), almonds and something else but I've fogotten now. I baked it a 425 for 15 minutes. It was pretty salty but Scott tasted it and surprisingly said, "Pretty Good!" It's like gambling at Vegas and gives you a bit of a rush considering the nastiest tasting thing I ever put in my mouth was foolash. (Key lime stew foolash is not recommended!)

Rain Drops keep fallin' on my head

Here we go again!

The next morning the management came over to help get everything dry and cleaned up. I don't know why but Scott and I are still laughing and not angry. I want them to do something to fix it but I can't seem to get the point across with my complacent tone. So I wrote them a letter today and had a friend add some non complacent verbage. Thanks Amanda! One things for sure if Scott and I eventually crack our complacent attitude it'll probably be like pompeii or an avalanche or Sarah Palin. Ahh, who am I kidding I'll probably cry!

Cassie's First Day of School!

Scott is all about action shots so instead of the cute excited face that I wanted to put on for the camera he captured my actual feelings. Nervous. So nervous that I checked that map of the school in my hand every 10 seconds even though I knew exactly where to go. I am going back to school but it's been a few years since I've taken any classes so I was nervous that I had forgotten how to learn or something. It's been a week now and I actually think that I'll do better than ever because in the past year I've become much more organized. Wish me luck!

Girly Giggles

From left to right: Lisa, Loraine, Kayla, Cassie, Debbie, Kara, Mary, Laura, and mom behind the camera. Mom got tickets for everone to go see Pride and Prejudice at the Scera outdoor theatre. It was a musical and apart from Mr Darcy's crazy eyes when he sang about his internal struggles, it evoked aaahhhs and many a girly giggle. Thanks mom! What a fun girls night out!

Lagoon

My company party was on the 15th and this time they had it at Lagoon. Suweet! Kara and Lisa don't work there anymore but still were invited because Squire is awesome! We had a good time but I'm starting to feel old. I didn't want to run from ride to ride anymore until I fell over from exhaustion. We hit our favorites, went to the bbq, and called it a night. At this rate Scott and I will become boring old biff and gertrude in no time. I hate to admit defeat though so I'll try to come up with a cure for this way too adult attitude.

Singin' in the Rain

We didn't sing but we laughed a bit. This was amazing! Our apartment has one of those square roofs and catches the rain like a swimming pool. This weekend it rained a lot and when we came home Saturday it was all coming in through our kitchen light and various other places in the apartment that we didn't find until the dreaded squish under our feet announced it in the morning. When we got out of church on Sunday and saw the huge wall of rain clouds hurried home to man our battle stations.
We soon replaced the pots and bowls with trash cans and rubber maid storage bins so we could start "bailing out". And by the way our management informed us that we are currently 183rd on their maintenance list because they have some move outs that "need to be taken care of".

Today, I am looking for new apartments. Brand new ones!

What do you mean "Ooops"?

As you can see from the picture, I'm not quite loving this new hair cut. At the salon the girl actually said oops at one point. Hopefully I'll figure out howto make it cute soon. Until then any encouragement/bald face lies about how cute it already is are welcome! ;)

Lagoon

This is me and Kara Woolf on the new ride at Lagoon called Wicked. Follow the track back a few feet and check out the cool spiral that it makes. I'd also like to proudly note that the brave girl with her hands in the air is yours truly.

Catchin' some Z's

This is Scott asleep at Lagoon, our wedding reception, and on the trip to Vegas. I have a few more examples but I think you see where I'm going. Anybody have any tips on how to get my boy to bed on time? Otherwise you'll soon see similar pictures of me.

Fearless

This is the amazing Stockton Bojangles!!! We spent a few hours in the pool so we all got a chance to give him our sage advice on swimming. I myself still prefer to use a fundoodle but he eventually outstripped me and started backwards jumping and synchronized cannon balls.

Doctor Gonzalez

Lindsey Gonzalez (That's Scott's brother's wife for those of you "not in the know")has graduated from Pharmacy School. Sheesh this girl is talented! I can't wait to see what you do next Lindswii and congratulations! The Gonzalez clan drove down to Vegas for the graduation and we had such a fun time! As usual, Seth and Lindsey had the Hook Ups so we got to stay in their friends condo while we were there. We taught Stockton how to swim at their pool and he taught us how to overcome your fears. At first he wouldn't even get his face wet but soon we had to watch him like a hawk as he started jumping into the deep parts of the pool without so much as a fundoodle. The afternoon produced some courageous synchronized diving of the cannon ball variety and a few sunburns. Just think how much fun we could have together if Seth and Lyndsey move back up to Utah. No really Seth and Lyndsey think about it and make the right choice!

Good Times

So I found these pics on my camera which I haven't used much this year but since no one has seen them yet I thought I'd share. Last summer we went on a campout to the tippy top of one of the mountains up AF canyon. We rode four wheelers, practiced with Dad's bow and played horseshoes. Gammy and Grandpa Ken and the Robinsons came up on the second day for dinner and games. Of course we camped in style with all Dad's little conviences. Camping with out a full kitchen, bathroom and living room sounds a little unpleasant now. When the boys went to collect firewood they came back with whole trees. That's not a very green attitude but we had as many smores as we wanted. One thing that I'll never forget about this trip is Scott and I's first kiss while the whole fam snored loud enough to keep even the misquitos away. It was magical!

What I wanna know is who camps without the Kitchen sink?

We rode four wheelers and got some dirt and tan lines

Here's the wind up...

Watch how a pro does it

Playing Horseshoes

We almost couldn't make it with the big suburban but what a view!

How many McGee's does it take to build a fire?

Scotty is 23!!!

Scott and I were talking yesterday over dinner about how old 23 sounds. Being grown up just isn't as much fun. You have to go to bed on time instead of staying up 'til 4 o'clock in the morning playing 007 and you can't eat whatever green sugary goo comes your way. Things like budgets, bills, vegetables, and 401K's nag their way into your thoughts when they really only belong in the dictionary for curiosities sake. But I was thinking today that while Scott and I have learned at least the definition of all of these things that we are still pretty young for our age. We've been watching online episodes of Dragon Ball Z lately. (It's additing I tell you) While Scott still won't touch any kind of "tree leaf" salad he is branching out a bit with his vegetable palate. This wise choice is balanced out by the fact that I think he is hiding a bag of candy bars in the second bedroom somewhere. Scott says that we are supposed to be child like so I hope we hang on to a little of that as we keep learning and growing up together.

Hmm What do I wish?

I'm pretty sure he wished for an electric violin

Way Way Beyond

This is Kim Gonzalez and I on the new Buzz Lightyear Ride at Disneyland. She is a mighty fine shot! The Gonzalez clan drove out to California where I felt like I got my first chance to really get to know some of the extended family. So far I think I'll stay. They are a pretty a bangerang group!

What a Trip!

Here are the highlights from the wedding and our trip to the bahamas for the honeymoon. Thanks to everyone that I didn't thank enough for coming out to Utah for the wedding and for helping make it a mostly relaxed and enjoyable day. For me at least. THANK YOU MOM!!!! Watch for the adorable pics of Charlie (Britt's youngest) and of Zoe (Jen's oldest)
